We meet families where they are and empower them to move forward by gaining stability in 13 different areas including housing, transportation, health, education, and employment, among other concerns.
While the Literacy Council brought the program to Texarkana, we are committed to the collective impact model that embraces the power of collaborative effort. This is not a Literacy Council initiative, it is a Texarkana initiative, and its success belongs to all of us. Our Alliance members believe that when we work together, we all win.
In 100 Families, all of the partners pledge to solve complex problems by working together and signing a declaration. Watch a short video of that declaration being read by Texarkana children.

100 Families participants and alliance partners have been achieving incredible things through the power of community collaboration. As the initiative continues to move forward locally, and beyond, oversight of 100 Families will transition to Ground Floor Collective, a non-profit that unites and empowers communities by leveraging the resources and knowledge needed to address complex problems. We will be forever grateful to the Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties for the hard work that was put in to bring this much needed model to Texarkana. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership with the Literacy Council and supporting their programs for years to come!
